As one of our skilled labor team members, Cody has the opportunity to travel to multiple job sites.   He is dependable, hard working, and always on site with a smile on his face.

How long have you been in the construction industry?
I’ve been in construction for over 5 years and with Bowman for a year

How did you get started in construction?
For me, it was either college or breaking my back.  Just kidding!  I wanted to get into the industry because of the satisfaction of building things and seeing a project complete. Destroying and building things is very satisfying.

What is your favorite part of working in the industry?
There’s something new every day.  There are never two days that are the same.  New projects, new people, new things learned. You can also save money on home improvements cause you can do it yourself.

What tool or piece of equipment do you like working with the most and why?
The Demo saw.  I like watching the sparks fly while cutting stuff

What’s been the coolest project you’ve worked on so far?
Building the auditorium seating at the RSU 26 Orono High School project.

If you weren’t in construction, what would you be doing?
I’d love to be a game warden.  Get to be outside, get a 4 wheeler.  Awesome job.

Favorite food?
Burritos.  Doesn’t matter what kind.  Just … burritos

Outside of work, what are your hobbies?
Hunt and play mechanic.  I like to work on anything with a small engine.  Cars, 4-wheelers.  Anything that needs fixing.

What is an essential piece of wisdom you have for the next generation of skilled craftsman?

“Don’t be scared to get your hands dirty.  If you show up and listen, you’ll have a guaranteed job.”
